Goodbye Letter to 140's

Dear 140’s
We’ve know each other for a long time now, and when I first met you I thought you were great. You were new and exciting. I’d just gotten through a very tough relationship with 150’s (he and I didn’t get along very well and I felt depressed most of the time we were together) when you came along like a breath of fresh air. I was proud to be seen with you. I liked going shopping with you for new clothes, and most of my friends said we looked great together. I was so happy to be with you.
But lately I’ve become dissatisfied with our relationship. I know it’s not fair to bring up issues from our past but I’ve never really forgiven you for those flabby upper arms when we first got together. And it seems like lately all we do is fight about the whole fat, flabby belly thing (I know that’s not all your fault and that I’m still carrying baggage from my relationship with 160’s and pregnancy but it’s still something we’ve never agreed on and I’ve decided I’ve had enough).
I think the time has come for us to go our seperate ways. In fact, I’m writing you this letter to tell you that I will be leaving you in the next few days and I don’t plan on ever coming back. I know we’ve been getting along really well these last few weeks but I think that’s partly because I knew things were ending between us (sorry) and because I realized that I didn’t have to settle. I know I can do better. This might seem harsh but we both knew from the beginning that I didn’t want this to be a long term thing. Actually, you probably sensed this was coming by how much time I’ve been spending at the gym and how much salad I’ve been eating (isn’t it ironic that the thing that brought us together in the first place is now the very same thing that’s helping me get away from you).
Anyway, I wish you all the best. I’m sure there are lots of other girls that are longing to be with you but I am not one of them anymore. Maybe you could settle down and have a happy, long term relationship with someone taller.

Sincerely,
Ellie

140's rebound gal

I'm 5'7" and would love to be with Mr. 140's. He'll be happy with me and we'll carry this long term.
There's "someone" for everyone.

i'm in a very long term relationship now, one that i thought would be as close to a one-night-stand as it gets, but alas, (all ass), here i am. i, too, am unhappy and have really been inspired by the op to move on and accept that this is not going to last forever. i can move on to a better me without guilt.

sigh...i used to resent being with the 140s in college. but now i'd do anything to dump the 160s and have the 140s take me back. i left the 170s in the dust, and the 160s are close to being dumped too. i've never stayed with the 150s for long, usually quick flings on my way up or down. but i long for the day when the 140s will take me back.

My relationship with the 150's is getting very old very quickly... we seem to have a very bumpy relationship with a lot of ups and downs... I would much prefer to move on to 140's ... sounds like my kind of relationship!

great

This is too good..I think the goodbye could be to whatever weight you want it to be..I am not in my 140s yet, but is saying the same thing to my current weight of 150. I like the fact that the writer is using her creativity and wit to say goodbye to her weight.

confession

I've been cheating on the 150's for the past few weeks. At first I just found myself *thinking* about the 140's. But last night I actually met them in person! Seeing how happy they made me, I wondered, "Why can't I just commit??" I need to just find the courage to leave the 150's once and for all!

OP here. I'm glad you enjoyed my letter! I had a lot of fun writing it. I hope I can write a similar letter to 130's soon since my goal is 125. I think I might stick with the 130s through the holidays (everyone wants a comfy relationship that time of year) but come the new year I'm going after my dream guy!

I refuse commitment, some days I hang out with 140's some days its 130's. Although 130's is a lot sexier, and gratifies me in ways that 140's never can.
