Body Pump - searched previous DVD threads - didn't find the info

I'm looking to see about DVDs for Body Pump? Anyone know of a title or who the founder of the YMCA's "Body Pump" courses?

Web search reviews no Dvds - how about the play lists

Is there a reason why Les hasn't gone the DVD route?

you won't find DVD's on body pump-it's the trademarked name of the choreographed conditioning class by Les Mills. Google his name and you will find a whole slew of info on body pump, body combat, body flow etc.

i'm a big body pump fan-it got me in great shape really fast and i don't get bored w/ it like i do w/ doing my own weight routine.

if you don't want to pay for classes or a gym near you doesn't offer the classes as frequently as you would like-i suggest buying a weight bar that you can add weights too-in small incements and buy a full length mirror so you can watch your form. definitely seek out a class or two even if you have to go out of your way to get to it-and then you can do your own "class" at home either to your own music or if you have a nice instructor-they will let you write down the names of the songs and artists for each track (they can't let you copy the CD-rules of body pump trademark) and then you can down load them yourself. good luck!!

Thanks for the reply. I was doing the class through the Y but then we moved and the closes place with a class is about 200 miles away. It's the music I really loved. I guess I will just have to work out differently some how.

If you don't find a body pump class look for a Group Power class. This is created by Les Mills old partners that helped him w/Body Pump by BTS. It is very similar but geared toward a wider age group instead of just 20-30 year olds & seems to be a little safer than the body pump is. Its a challenging, upbeat fun class.

Solution: Body Bar or Cathe Friedrich

Your solution is Body Bar, you can by the DVDs or VHS online at Bodybar.com You can also buy the bars and a whole lot of other equipment there too.
However, Cathe Friedrich has several DVD's with bar bells. My favorite is the Intensity Series: Pyramid Upper Body and Lower Body DVD
You can get this from Amazon or go to www.cathe.com
Walmart sells the bar bell thingys for about 30$. You can find others online too.

I understand completely, I used to be able to go to the Body Pump classes, but then I moved, Body Bar saved me!

body pump dvd's - yup

I know an instructor that taught Body Pump in fitness clubs since inception. She has tweaked it and made a work out even better - trust me! You can buy a copy of her Fitness DVD for only $20 and do it out of the comfort of your own home. Beware though! This chick will kick your A$$!!! www.funky-m.ca

Body Pump DVD

Beachbody just announced that they have partnered with Les Mills to create an at home version of Body Pump called Pump. If you would like information about this development you can email me with Body Pump as the subject.
