New Year Challenge 2007

Hi everyone,
We are starting our New Year Challenge on January 1, 2007. This is the time to shine. So many of us are so determined to lose the weight, get toned and healthy.

I will be posting the rules and points here no later than tomorrow morning. It's been a pretty hectic day for me. I haven't even purchased my New Year's Eve dress!!!!
Will have to do that tomorrow morning but I'm going to post the challenge info as soon as possible.

January 6 Week Challenge
WEEK 1 Jan.1 to 8, 2007
Task Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday
Food Log/Journal
Tracking Calories
Drink 8 glasses of water
No eating 3 hours before bed
Eat Fresh
Avoid white products
Get at least 7 hours of sleep
Eat every 2.5 to 3 hours
Eat 3 meals & 2 sancks
10 minutes of relax time
No alcohol
Emotions/ Triggers
At least one 30minute workout
Total

Bonus Points
Extra workout
Posting Pictures
Posting Measurements daily
Total
Above are the tasks at hand for the next challenge. I have to go over to BB to check my post with the points since I do not have it on my husband's laptop.

Here are the points for the new challenge...the rules are posted above and this excel file has been uploaded on our yahoo group site. Please refer to that site for a copy of it.

POINTS:

Keeping a food log= 1 point
Keep track of calories=1 point
Drink at least 8 glasses of water per day= 1 point
No eating 3 hours before bed= 1 point
Eat fresh foods (no processed or packaged stuff)= 2 points
Avoid white stuff (sugar, bread, flour, rice) = 2 points
Get at least 7 hours of sleep= 1 point
Eat every 2.5 to 3 hours= 2 points
Eat 3 meals & two snacks daily= 2 points
Do at least 1 workout daily at least 30 minutes long= 2 points
Get at least 10 minutes to relax= 1 point
Post measurements on a weekly basis= 1point
Post photos (optional)= 1 point
No alcohol= 1 point
Write down Emotions/ Triggers= 2 points
Extra workouts= 2 points (these will be extra BONUS POINTS)

So here you have it the RULES for the new challenge and the points that go with it. I would encourage everyone to post their points daily for easier tracking. Take the file that has been uploaded onto yahoo and use that to track your points. Since we are starting on Monday, January 1, you would post your points on Tuesday and so forth. I think I pretty much have covered everything.

Did I miss something? If so tell me :)
Again the challenge is not set to one particular workout. I have also noted the beginning of the challenge and the end date of the challenge on the yahoo group calendar. Take a look and let me know what you think.

If there are any other rules and/or points you would like to suggest to be added please let me know and I'll add them in.

For those of you interested in joining the team I've been asked to post the link of our yahoo group site.

I just joined Peertrainer and hooked up with a group with Carol. Now I'm on this thread and joined the yahoo group as well.

another interesting site (a little cluttered but full of good stuff) is www.dwlz.com otherwise known as Dotties Weight Loss Zone. All kinds of food and exercise info, including calorie and points counts for restaurant meals.

New Year's Challenge - Get involved! Challenge Tracker

Hey, everyone! We're starting a new 6 week challenge. Most of us are using Beach Body workout programs....Slim in 6, Turbo Jam and others. Even if you're not a beach body fan, join us - no matter what your workout of choice! Just know that we are group of highly motivated individuals and we are SERIOUS about making '07 our year to shine! Most of us want to lose 20 or more pounds; some have even bigger goals and we are determined to help one another see it through!

Here's What You Need to Know to Participate!

We do our daily posting to two sites (b/c they have different capabilities). You choose whether or not to use one or the other.

* Here at peertrainer, we have a team set up "Beach Body Ladies". That's where you'll find day-to-day comments, logs, etc. We won't be doing a lot of posting to this forum, so don't look for tons of activity. We're using this to spread the word about our great team and exciting challenge!

* We have a Yahoo group set up also that's getting lots of activity from old and new members alike. Here, we post our weekly results and generally "talk" to one another. You'll find our Yahoo Group at:

(P.S. You need a Yahoo ID to get in any of the Yahoo groups. Simple to set up...just follow the Yahoo directions)

* At the Yahoo group, you'll also find uploaded files that have fitness information and our challenge tracker. It outlines our challenge. Look for the file called:
"Beach Body Ladies Challenge Tracker". You can print it and manually track your points and stats or you can save it to your PC and it will calculate your numbers for you automatically.
