help me be less frustrated

OK, here I go.
My boyfriend has the opposite problem from me. He is always losing weight/forgetting to eat, etc. He is also very nutrition conscious, so he lifts and runs and all. The thing is, gaining weight is hard for him (but he can easily go up or down 10 pounds). (Gaining fat might not be hard, lol, but that's not what he's going for.)
I have a couple problems, 1, while I am losing weight (thank you to my peer trainer groups!), I have lost 3 (of 10-7 to go!) pounds since August, or, a pound a month. I think that's good (usually) but it is so hard when he dismisses it. He thinks it's water weight. He isn't criticizing me at all on purpose, he thinks I'm just being silly. (Also realize that I'm losing the weight for me, and not for him).
Please, someone, tell me that I actually lost those 3 pounds.
Why is this so hard?

I think that if the pounds have stayed down, you have lost them. Don't pay attention to him, and lose at your own pace, guys bodies are different. And congrats on being on your way to reaching your goal!

Congratulations!

I started PEERTrainer in May, and since then, I am down 4 pounds! During that same time period, my fiance has gained and lost about 5 pounds probably 5 times! He's totally skinny too, and trying to gain muscle! If he doesn't go to the gym for a week, he loses 2lbs!

I know it's real because every day that I get on the scale, I weigh about the same, give or take a pound, and 5 months ago, every day that I got on the scale, I weighed the same, give or take a pound, but that average was 4lbs higher!

It's the hardest when you don't have far to go... I really do eat healthily, and have changed MANY habits in the past 5 months, and it is only 4lbs that I'm down... Some of my clothes fit better, and some are still too tight... But, it is coming off, and that's what's important! The speed isn't nearly as important!

Congrats again!!

Original poster here.

THANKS for the encouragement. I really need it.
Sometimes it's hard when I only hear about weight changes from my guy friends.
