Dating (ot)

so iam 42 years old and havent really dated to much (always in a relationship) so this is weird to me. my questian... if you have been on a couple dates with 2 different guys and you like one a little more than the other, how long do you continue to casually date both before you make a decision..and then when you do decide how do you tell the one your not interested in anymore?? god i feel like in 15 years old LOL. i dont want to get to a point where i just dont contact the person or just blow them off thats not me. any ideas would help.

how long? when you have sex with one but not the other...- just simply say I have met someone else that I am interested in more. You can't possibly cushion their feelings any more than that. Try not to let it string on too long... if you have an idea now... act on it sooner than later

I'm not in this situation, but when I'm faced with a potentially uncomfortable situation like that, I remind myself that 1) I am an adult and I do not have to deal with [*insert problem here*] if I choose not to, so action must be taken, and 2) I am a good person and if I am honest and sincere in dealing with others, though it may be uncomfortable, there is nothing more I can do to fix that.
Be honest with yourself ("what do I really want?") and then be honest with the guys, and you'll be fine. Good luck!
And great job getting back out there! : )

Date whoever you want for as long as you want - until you and a guy decide together to be exclusive. You don't have to tell a guy anything about who else you're dating unless that is discussed.

does the guy you "like more" want to be exclusive? I would say continue to date both... you obviosly haven't told either one that you are only dating them. I was in a bit of a similar situation a few months ago. One of the guys was a little more into me than I was him. He was under the impression that he was the only one I was seeing at the time. I just talked to him and told him that I was "dating around", not sleeping around. I think he understood that I was keeping my options open... especially after just getting out of a long term relationship.
