Today's weather

is perfect for sitting at an outdoor restaurant, drinking a pitcher of margaritas and eating nachos. Sigh. It's times like this that I really hate being on a diet. And yes, I know I could drink tea and nibble on edamame outside, but it's not the same. It's just not.

I agree that the weather can sometimes mislead me. my bf and I started out as neighbors who would drink beers on the porch in the summer and developed a relationship from there. It has kind of become what led us to that point and is still one of my favorite things to do with him. On top of that I am huge on days that I lounge in the sun at BBQs or fishing and such and usually associate that with drinks and food.

on the contrary...

Hmmm... I guess when the weather is nice, I think "What a great day for frisbee, or heading to the dog park, or walking around the lake, or biking, or anything active!"

Also, I am looking forward to the fresh produce that summer has! When I think of the great weather, I want to go to the farmer's market and make a smoothie, get some fresh strawberries, watermelon, grilled veggies, corn on the cob. I love going out to the fruit farm to "pick my own" blueberries, peaches, strawberries, tomatoes...

I agree with both sentiments expressed so far. On one hand I love the fresh produce, salads, etc... and on the other I also like sitting on the patio with friends and chilled glass of wine.

What I love about the warmer weather is I feel I am automatically more active...and therefore can afford the little indulgences (a beer, a few chips and dip etc). Once its 70 and sunny its much easier to spend the day out and about...even if just running errands or shopping, theres no need to hurry home to warm your cold tired feet. I find I walk twice as much....and for the most part the heat curbs my appetite for heavy dishes like pasta w/ cream sauce or some other winter comfort food. As long as you make it a point to spend a little more time moving outside during the nice weather ( walking a few more hours counts!!!), there is no reason you cant relax on the patio with a nice cold beer when you come home:)
