PT-Could you create a Off Topic Community Forum?

There's been debate about the types of threads that are becoming more and more common on the PT community. Yes, I agree that we can just ignore them and not open and read them and comment on them, but let's try another tactic instead. Other free forums offer an off-topic area to post about politics, religion, American Idol, sex, etc as a way to keep the members still engaged, but move the off topic threads out of the main topic of the forum, in our case, weightloss/maintenance. If PT added an off topic community lounge, those that come here for the express purpose of finding support for our goals don't have to wade through all the other personal nonsense.

The community is a great place to ask almost any question, no matter how personal. Most likely you'll get great answers. The PEERtrainer community is very welcoming to new users.

I second the idea for an off-topic forum! I find it frustrating to come here and try to sift through all the off-topic posts (most not marked with OT in the header) to find the ones about health and weight loss.

What difference does it make if you have a seperate message board? You can scan through the message board and if it is OT don't read it. what is your problem. Being overwieght is a emotional spiritual and physical malady. Let it go1 Read what you like and don't read the rest!
