self improvement ideas and goals
Today has been a day of renewed spirit for me. Every couple of months I try and reevaluate my life and change what I dont like. I am making a rough draft of goals I can work on to improve all aspects of my life. I am looking for ideas on good goals to set for self improvement. I know you do not know what I already have down so putting something simple out there is okay. If you feel that you can offer anything to assist me in all areas life, not just fitness please respond

keep up with household chores - that's a tough one for me - I tend to let little things go until it's all one big thing and then it seems so overwhelming to tackle!

ps - how great that you regularly re-examine your life!! : )
don't turn into my mother-in-law who "has changed enough in her life and now she's pretty much perfect"

Get rid of all the clutter in your home. You'll be surprise how that makes you feel!

try something new!! Or do something you used to love, but haven't made time for or done lately. I used to love playing tennis, but I haven't touched my raquet in two years- that's not going to happen this year!! Perhaps take a cooking class, a creative writing class, join toastmasters, take up a team sport. Make the time to try something new and meet new people :)

Self Improvement at Work
I constantly look for new challenges at work, and seek knowledge from others in different areas. Specifically, I like to almost scare myself, or put myself in a difficult or uncomfortable situation.

I'm currently undertaking an interior design course. After 6 years in IT I have decided to try something different, hopefully by the time I finish I'll have a diploma and possibly be able to set up my own company... or at least know what colour to paint my walls!!!!

Goal Ideas
I would make a list of all the things that you have had the thought that you could not do and make it a point to try one a week for 12 weeks. Shake it up and expand.
10 Examples off the top of my head:
1. Start a conversation with a complete stranger.
2. Give something away.
3. Learn to speed read.
4. Try a raw diet for a week.
5. Give a speech.
6. Go to a drum circle.
7. Get yourself lost.
8. Start a business.
9. Forgive the person you are the most upset with and tell them.
10. Read a holy book of a faith not your own.
