Almond Butter vs Peanut Butter?

I just read that peanut butter is pretty good for you as long as it is all natural or organic. But I also read that Almond butter is better. How much better and why is this the case?

I LOVE almond butter. But it's just taste preference. I love peanut butter too.

I don't know about it being any better than peanut butter though. If it is, then the difference is probably really slight, like between any nut butters.

I believe almond butter has more protein. Almonds do have better fats in them than peanuts do, so that might be it? I personally prefer the taste of almond butter way over peanut butter.

I believe peanut butter has more polyunsaturated fat (lowers bad cholesterol and good cholesterol) and almond butter has more monounsaturated fat (raises good cholesterol, lowers bad cholesterol). Either kind of fat is a good choice but monounsaturated is better. I think almond butter and peanut butter are about the same calorie-wise.

Cashew = 93 , 2.8 , 8 , 7 , 0.8
Hazelnut = 94, 2 , 9.5 , N/A , N/A
Peanut - natural = 94 , 3.8 , 8 , 7 , 0.4
Peanut - reduced fat = 95 , 4 6 , N/A , 0.4
Sunflower = 80 , 3 7 , N/A ,N/A
Soy butter (sweetened)= 85 , 4 5.5 , 50 ,N/A

Soy-peanut butter= 50 , 2 1.2 , 40 , N/A

Is is all the nut butter you can find plus soy butter but this is only in 1tbsp of each butter so keep that in mind.

almond butter is better- peanut butter has a lot of mold, which is one reason you see peanut allergies. And few almond allergies.

I think that people who follow Ph diets prefer almond butter because almonds are more alkaline than peanuts.
