Here's my three of the 7. I've lost almost 45lbs.

Park in the back of the parking lot always and walk to the front.
Find fun ways to exercise
Count calories of meals before you eat them, not after it's too late.

Well I know a lot of people are anti-TV, but I love my TV and my certain TV shows. I got a DVR box and a home elliptical machine. Now I only watch my shows while on my elliptical and get in 45-60 min of exercise each time depending if I fast forward the commercials or not. And I know if I'm too tired to watch Grey's Anatomy I'm too tired to workout :)

I look up calories before I go out to eat and plan meals so I don't think I'm getting something good that isn't. When I have a craving I try to plan it into my day by cutting back other places so I don't sabotage myself with always saying no. I eat small meals frequently but try to save my dinner meal as a bigger meal and not eat anything after.

Stay positive, I try to focus on what I've done good...no matter how small. And give myself a small pep-talk when I'm bad but not dwell on it too much either. When you keep telling yourself your doing bad, or that the weight isn't coming off fast enough you lose your motivation quickly... when you tell yourself your doing great it's easier to stick to.

Exercise, exercise, exercise!-it's a priority!
Keep your fridge and shelves stocked w/ healthy foods always!
When you mess up-start over immediately!
Don't restrict too many calories, or too many foods too often-allow a cheat meal or day at least once every week or two.
Make changes that you can live with daily, don't think of it as a "diet"-it's a lifestyle change.
Be patient-it took time to gain the weight, it takes time to lose it!
Don't forget to live life while you are in the process of losing!!
