The weekends!! I'm so structured and controlled with my eating during the week, but everything falls apart on the weekends when my plans are uncertain or I do last minute things with friends that unfortunately usually involve food.

consistency and follow-through!
I do well for a period of time and then I seem to lose all control and take a few steps back before I can move forward again. Very strange.

if i mess up on one meal, i feel like i blew it for the day and eat whatever i want. then that leads into another day, because i blew the week. then the week becomes a month and i gain back all the weight i lost. trying to remedy that though.

Getting to focused on the numbers and forgetting what this is really about...which is full engagement with life. Somehow when I live from full engagement, the numbers and the details fall into place with a little more ease. For example, if I am barrelling down a beautiful stretch of road on my bike breathing hard but LOVING that moment...the trees, the air, my body working hard, the birds singing...I am getting great exercise, but that's not where I am....I am in a much better place. I need to live from there...or I lose my way.

When I blow a meal I just look at it as "Well I've had my treat for the week, now where were we?"

Not Always
I don't believe I ALWAYS do anything... good or bad. One thing I need to watch out for is the temptation to think I can indulge without paying a price.
I need be vigilant about my clarity of purpose and always remember that every choice has consequences.

having what I like to call "food envy" (wanting to have what everyone else is eating, even though I know it is not the best for me and will derail my progress). I tend to give in, and need to work on my will power.
Monday, June 04, 2007, 11:04 AM
Eating the right FREAKING portions of any food I eat! I love food and want to put more on my plate than what I should be eating and SODA! I want to drink it every day and it's soooo hard not to.
