Who's within striking distance of their goal weight?
I joined to lose those last 10 pounds to get me to my goal weight. They're pounds that I've held onto for the last 3 years and they're as mentally draining as all the other pounds I eventually lost! I got all self-conscious about being here when I read some rants on another thread questioning why someone who only needs to lose a few pounds would come here. So, I'm just wondering who else is out there that 'only' has a few pounds (10-20) to go before reaching their goal weight?

I don't know about weight but definately body fat percentage I'd say I would want to drop 3% more so goodluck to me.

I'm getting pretty close. Over the last year, I've lost a bit over 70 pounds, and now it's less than 20 to go.

I only have about 10 to go. I know lots of people with that goal.

When I came here, over 2 years ago, I wanted to drop 5-10 lbs. Now I've dropped about 15, and want to drop about 5 more (though, I'm pretty happy where I am, too.)
I've been in a number of groups titled something like "losing the last 5 lbs," etc. Many people here are close to those goals. It's not a requirement to be extremely overweight, it's a requirement to have something you want to change. My advice would be to look for, or start, a couple groups for people with similar weight loss goals as you; you'll be more able to relate to them, and experiment with similar diet and exercise changes.

I've lost 73 lbs and i'm still here to kick off those last 5-10 lbs!! No one has any idea what you have been through or are dealing with so just ignore people who question your motives or struggle! They have their own problems!

the first 45 pounds took me less than 6 months to lose. the last 15 are taking me forever to get rid of...

I've lost 10-15 lbs and am 5-0 lbs from my goal. I totally identify with you, OP! There are a lot of really great groups out there but there are so many that I've had a hard time finding one for me (I'm not 'over weight' per se, I just want to be a size smaller and get rid of my remaining non-firm areas, and I don't want to kill myself to get there - gradual loss is fine with me, say by end July. I also don't have an interest in losing so much weight that I look like an adolescent boy). Going to follow 10.44's advice and see if there are other 'losing the last 5 lbs' groups that are more aligned with my objectives...

10 more to go and I will be a happy camper with a total weight loss of 25 pounds. I feel great and my clothes fit better than they have in years.

2.5 pounds away from my goal, and only came to lose 10. Though now that I am there, I am in the place as 10:44, wanting to lose another 5.

OP here
Have any of you joined a group? I like the idea of groups b/c they can be very motivating when they're active - I guess I just haven't found the one yet!
Congrats to all that are so close to your goal weight - no matter where you started!

I have about 8 lbs to go, and I just get stuck here. So hopefully by the end of the year I will get there and stay there.
