diet pill called phentramin

anyone used the diet pill called phentramin?? supposedly isn't a nonprescription form of "phentermine" which is an appetite suppressant. neither of them have phen phen in it though! any comments?

I have used phentermine and it does work for a short while. But it does have some harsh side effects in the beginning like very bad headaches, clenching your jaw, stiff neck, and a feeling like you just had 10 pots of esspresso coffee. You have no appetite in the beginning which is o.k. but then you feel sick because you need to eat but your not hungry. Eventually the side effects go away after about 2 weeks, but I have learned that the medication stops being as effective after about 2 or 3 months. Hope this helps!

i took it for 4 months, max prescription in my state and all it did was make me jittery. i didn't lose a pound.

"Phentramin" has no chemical connection to phentramine. The fact that they would use a sound-alike name rubs me the wrong way.
Their website claims these active ingredients: Chromium (amino acid chelate); Caffeine; Proprietary Blend Consisting of: Hoodia Gordoni Cactus Powder, Magnolia Bark, Glucomannan, Green Tea, Theobromine, Guarana extract, Cha de Burge, Maca Extract, L-Theanine, Banaba extract and Gugglesterone.
I don't now all of these, but some are mild stimulants. That's fairly typical of the weight loss preparations, I think.
I'm just not enthusiastic about such things, I guess.

I typed too fast. The prescription drug is Phentermine. There have been at least a couple of other sound-alikes (Phendrazene, Fedramine, ...) in the marketplace from different sources. The Phentramin posted about is one of those. Web pages say this comes from Lazarus Labs which seems to be the same as Benito Enterprises. Benito/Lazarus have a number of other sound-alike products (Tramaden, Glycamil, Lipostatin, Diastol, Prialis). Other Web pages say this company belongs to Arley Vest, who comes to this from the world of bodybuilding.
The sound-alikes are generally some sort of herbal combination. I have no idea about the quality control of any of them, or effectiveness. But don't assume that things are similar because they sound similar.

wow i'm shocked at those side effects, why do people always look for a quick fix or a fix in a pill. taking repsonsibility for your heating and exercise habits is the only safe and long term solution.

phenteramine/adipex

I have taken this and yes it makes you a little jittery at first but I talked to my doctor and he lowered my dose and I was fine. ONce it stopped being as effective we changed it back. I lost over 70 lbs., of course with diet and exercise, after having my first baby.

My wife used phentramin diet pills to lose over 30lbs. how about trying exercise and eating healthy foods? yeah, i know, that sounds soooo crazy and extreme, but some say it actually works. even in research studies it's been proven that the side effects of healthy eating and regular exercise are mostly beneficial-improved energy, better mobility, less stress, raised confidence...i guess a down fall would be that you no longer have an excuse to take random pills that get schemers rich...priorities, priorities, priorities...
