help!

OK, so my skinny-eats-all-day-never-gains-an-ounce sister went to carvel's and "thought of me" and got me an ice cream as well. The intentions were good, and I love her for them [she even got me a fat free vanilla one, 'cause she knows I'm dieting], but now I have a dillema.

I looked the thing up and thought to my self..wow, it's only 270 cals. Beautiful! *eats*

So I eat half of it and realize, OK I'm really not that hungry. So I put it into the freezer for "tomorrow" (my own little trick...Carvel doesn't look as good after a day in the freezer lol)

But, now I'm actually craving that last half of ice cream. Thinking to my self, GOSH, it's ONLY about 120 cals more...BUT, says the angel on my shoulder, do you REALLY want those 120 cals?

So uh, yeah. Am I normal? Or just a fatarse with ice cream in the freezer?

Oh boy.

I would end up doing the same thing. Thats why I just throw it out if I know I shouldn't have it or increase the exercise amount to balance out those extra calories.

You know what "they" say: "don't even have it in the house and your won't think about it". I think that's true.

to original poster and the like-minded

Your story sound EXACTLY like mine, only mine is with a rum bottle. I'm fine if it's not in the house. My husband is kind enough now to hide his liquor. I'm lazy enough (but sometimes not enough) to reach for the stepladder. I haven't broken into his car yet...

OP here

I didn't eat it :]

And now I'm going to give blood, so why would I put all extra fat into blood and sugar that I'm giving to people?

Mwahaha, I WILL lose this weight.

I thought it was common knowledge that food talks to you. It always has me.
Hey good job OP on not eating it. Feels good doesn't it.

when your food is talking to you, holler back at it!!! "you are not going to control me!! you have no power over me!!! i bought you and i can return you!!!" never let it have the last word.

I love it 8:59!!! My neighbors are going to think I'm in a very strange marriage!!!
"I bought you & I can return you!" HAHAHA
But, truly I really think that verbalizing these things can really be effective.
Thank you!

Thanks, I am the one the talks about your food talking to you.
Never thought to talk back to it.
Control, that is certainly the point..
