Need motivation to weigh myself

I've been dieting off and on for ten years. Im 23, I'm about to turn 24, and I am overweight. I feel like I am always trying and failing.

I'm an active person. I work out about 4-5 times a week, but my eating is inconsistant. Sometimes I eat too much, some times it's perfect. It's really all about my diet.

Since I've stopped weighing myself everyday, I feel like I've gained weight. Normally, my issue is snacking/binging, etc. Logging on PeerTrainer really helped me be accountable and weighing myself was good, too.

I'm scared of stepping on the scale again because if I find that I gained extra, I'll be devastated! I diet all the time, each time I diet I do a better job, but if I lose steam, and fall off the wagon, I gain a few extra. I work out ALOT and it's so frustrating that I can't get this weight gain/loss under control. I'm so bummed, and I feel like I'm starting to hate myself.

I need some motivation! Diet tricks? Anything!

Hey!

So heres the thing, i know that its hard to weight yourself for me I step on everyday to make sure I'm in check but its like your going to slip up once and a while! And its not likes it the end of the world...sometimes your weight fluctuates too and also it could be muscle especially if your working out alot. But I ALWAYS weigh myself in the morning, bc you can literally gain 3lbs throughout the day with food and water. And I always either strip my clothes completly unless im wearing something light to make sure that its dead on right! But hey if you gain a little dont lose sight of your goals! Whenever I snack I always drink water first to make sure that I'm hungry and I count calories it really does work! SO Just hop on the scale everthing will be alright theres absolutely nothing to be afraid!=)

Another thought
If you don't keep track of your weight it just gets away from you and you have more to overcome. I say bite the bullet and weigh yourself. If it isn't what you want it to be try to look at it differently. Everything is an opportunity. This one, to make yourself healthier.
I know it is hard when that scale doesn't say what you want it to or think it is going to, I just came off a bad depression because I thought it should be less. But then I pick myself up and say you know, it is going to. Maybe not today but it will.

Sounds like you've got the workouts down - concentrate on food choices and portion control and I'll bet you'll see good results. Can you wait a little longer to weigh in, though? That's only three days and you might not see a loss in that short of time.
