Sarah Silverman- mean or funny?

I thought she was mean last night, but in a totally necessary way. Everyone she trashed really deserved it. It was almost cathartic. My favorite line: "50 Cent is still alive. Thats so Cute!!!"

I thought calling Britney's kids mistakes was mean. Its not their fault there mom is such a disaster. They were probably watching the show.

Messing with someone's kids should be a federal offense. She was not cool, too mean. At some point you have to ask yourself, what's worth the laugh? I was disgusted.

other celeb's kids' were not made fun of...it's because britney puts her kids out there, in full view of the paparazzi, ALL THE TIME, and does so even while breaking the law, displaying questionable behaviour and when she knows she's being photographed. any mother who flaunted their lack of sensibility with regard to child safety would become fodder for comedians. it's just that britney is the only one who has done so...except maybe dina lohan (haha)

Its Britney's fault how she deals with her kids, the press, partying - not her children's fault. I think its okay to make fun of her - but her kids?

There was a rumour that Britney called her children mistakes. But did she? Who knows. I think some comedian calling her kids mistakes on television was out of line.

Its so cruel. Kids, no matter whose children they are, don't deserve that.

I agree, she is hilarious! The comment about Brit's kids was not anything mean about them. She was referring to Britney making mistakes. I mean I am sure a lot of us have children that were not meant to happen. So they were in essence, mistakes, but we are glad we made those mistakes none the less. My favorite part was when she turned her head to the side and pinched her lips together. I mean come on, if that wasn't funny I don't know what is!

If the stuff that spews out of her mouth is called comedy then I guess I don't have a sense of humor.

There is comedy and then there is just a line you don't cross. Bashing on people's kids just isn't funny. The 50 cent comment just fine.

She's a meanie. I've never heard her tell a joke that isn't a low blow. She's as bad as Carlos Mencia, just goes for the cheap laughs. I can't believe she's this famous.

a little of each

she can be funny, but leave minors alone--attack adults, you have no right to bring up children. i have little respect for her after that. it's unfortunate because she is funny and some of her roasts are great, but leave the kids out of it!

anything goes in good comedy...you can't censor the content or appropriate which topics are suitable for real, true-to-the-bone comedy. like all great tragedies...there is no limit to the suffering some are willing to watch unfold on screen. well, there are also, on the flip side, those of us who would endure the rawest, crudest type of humor and cynicism in order to escape from our own minds. to each their own. if you don't like sarah silverman, watch someone else who is less controversial instead of saying she should change her style.

oh please-comedians are supposed to get people riled up!! That's their job! It's not her job to say things that make everyone like her!
