OT - is anyone here good at Calculus?

very OT... but I can't go run until I finish my AP Calc homework!! :\

Using implicit derivatives, what's the derivative of

r= (tan^2 (3- theta ^2)) ?

is it:

r' = 2(tan 3 - theta^2) (sec^2(3-theta^2)) (-2theta, theta prime)

?? ahhhhhhh. :[ what do I solve for if there's no y'?

aw, thank you =X I go to the top HS in my area and it's a pre-engineering school. so math's pretty intense. I want to major in biomolecular/chemical engineering (think genetic engineering and pharmacueticals and fun stuff like that). i'm still debating what I want to be when I grow up but I'm looking into neurosurgery.

You may want to try a site like "Dr Math" or Purdue used to have a decent math help site.... Sorry! I can't remember much calc (and it's only been a few years)...
