pains

I keep getting these pains. They originate in the center of my back & they feel like they go thru to under my breasts/rib cage. They come for about an hour or less then they go away completely. I had my an ultrasound on my gallbladder & my doc said there was a little calcification but it was fine. Does anyone know anything about what this could be?

If you feel that it restricts the expansion of your ribcage when you breathe, making you breathe more shallowly than usual, consider seeing a chiropractor - certain vertebrae, when out of place, can give you the kind of pain you describe.

I had pains like that and it was the onset of shingles. I had the pain for about a week before the rash - wasn't sure if it was my rib, muscular or gallbladder. If you break out in a rash anywhere make sure you go to the Dr. Shingles is often misdiagnosed as gallbladder problem until the person breaks out in the rash.

i've had pains like those since i was 10, and I'm 17 now...my doctor said it was probably from the sports I play (after they checked with the ultrasound that everything was fine and it wasn't my heart or anything). It was really just msucle pains. Since I swim and run, I've found that overhead stretchs have really helped, a lot! I barely get them anymore and when I do, one super deep breath gets rid of them.

1. Post excersise, stand with your feet a little more than hip length apart, reach your right arm over your head and bend to the left, feeling the stretch in your side. Switch.

2. (If you have flexible enough arms to do this) put your arms behind you, and grab the opposite elbow and pull softly, while arching your back.

3. Standing, clasp your hands behind your back, bend over and let your arms kind of hang past your head.

Hope this helped!!!
