You'll never guess what the doc diagnosed me with...

Narcolepsy...

How weird?!

He gave me a pamphlet... all the symptoms fit.

I go back in for more tests at the end of the month to gage the degree.

My syptoms are...

I am ALWAYS tired whether I have 4 hours or 40 hours, I NEVER feel rested.

I have leg twiches and muscles twiches in my sleep (but not painful like RLS)

I wake sperratically (sp) during the night.

I go off into a very vivid day dream like state A LOT

I spend more than half my sleep aware of surroundings, but unable to interact.

A couple other things but mostly I am ALWAYS sleepy... I have no energy and lack motivation for everything.

11:39 again, i can't stop thinking about how i never feel rested because i'm too "awake" in my sleep.... my brain won't shut down and all day i'm a zombie and can't wait to go to bed, then it's the same routine all over again. wow.

Treatments include meds, sleep scheduling, naps, and/or diet and exercise change...it all depends on the degree.

Sleep Paralysis.

"I spend more than half my sleep aware of surroundings, but unable to interact."
Sleep paralysis?

I have this sometimes and it scares the crap out of me! My mind is awake, but I can't move my body. It's usually when I'm really tired. It feels like you are half awake, and half asleep...I am usually trying to tell my husband to wake me up, but it only comes out as a faint breathy moan.

My father says he has this, too. Genetic?

Does this happen to anyone else? I've thought several times that I was dying or something...but, of course, I'm still here.
