gaining weight on the weekends

Well it happened again. No surprise. I do well all week and then I pack it in over the weekend. Pizza here, pasta there throw in a few desserts and I might as well not even watch myself over the week. I'm sooooooooooo frustrated. Help me please. How do you do well on the weekends?

I make myself exercise and remind myself what I want to look like. Eating pasta will not get me there

I was having the same problem. More family members around on the weekend eating anything they wanted and stocking the house with pizza, chips, and ice cream was really throwing me off and making it really hard to say no. Every Monday I'd start a "new" diet and try again, only to undo it all the following weekend.

Strangely, the thing that helped was starting my "new" diet on Friday. Somehow this has given me a fresh dose of discipline to face the weekend crowd. This strategy has been working for almost a month now. Good luck!

I know how you feel. I have been letting myself have a "cheat day" each Saturday. I'm good Monday through Friday, then Saturday I eat whatever. Well, that was not the best idea. I'll gain 4-5 lbs (mostly water), then it will take several days to get back down to my Friday weight. Now, what I'm doing is allowing myself one "cheat meal" rather than an entire day. It's helped a little bit, but this past Saturday I ate two cheat meals, so that wasn't good. ugh. It's hard.

I don't restrict any food during the week or on the weekends. I just eat what sounds good in moderation. Then I never feel deprived, never feel like I'm cheating and never binge. I've lost and kept off my 25 pounds this way for over a year now! I am more "strict" during the week but I by no means go crazy on the weekends either. Good luck, I hope you find something that works for you, this is what works for me!
