used SAAB. sports version. Love it because it handles well, perfect size (huge trunk space) and it only had 40k miles on it.

Chrysler Sebring convertible - b/c I had a long obnoxious commute (not far, just slow) and thought it'd be fun to have a convertible for it for the warm (though not the hot or the cold) months. My mom and my sister have the same car - my sister's is over 10 years old and still running just fine, after a couple accidents, so it's pretty reliable.

This wasn't a recent purchase, but I must put in a vote for my 2004 Honda Civic. Two months ago I was broadsided and pinned in my car and I should have been killed but I walked away with only cuts and bruises. I was hit by a full size pickup and my little Civic was totalled, but saved my life. Plus, it only depreciated $1500 in 3 years so counting the $4000 trade-in I had when I bought it, I actually made money on the insurance payment.
