late dinner?

ok so, i know that i'm going to be having dinner really late tonight. a friend's flying in around 8.30, so we're not going to be eating until around 9.30. i can't last that long. my blood-sugar is way too tempermental. anyone have any advice?

how about an ounce of protein (ham, chicken) and a stalk of celery filled with a tablespoon of peanut butter

Glass of soy milk

I sometimes find just that will tide me over for an hour or two. Just get something small into your system to prevent hunger pangs.

definitely a protein and carb combo. It's great to tide you over. apples and almond butter is my favorite.

thanks everyone. i did it. i took your advice, had something small but balanace (apple and tomatoe juice) and made it through to dinner. the best part? because I wasn't famished i didn't overeat when i got to the table. it's a good lesson to have learned.
