Cooped up with a 2 year old and a husband watching sports. Any ideas?

rainy here in MA, too!

Tomorrow we're going to an indoor playground at the mall, but over the following few days, we'll probably be building a lot of block towers and drawing a lot of pictures.
When I feel cooped up for too long, I start rearranging furniture - and the kids like to "help" with that. There's something about empty space - like when you remove a piece of furniture - that draws kids to it like a magnet. I also have a couple large boxes the kids like to use as tents, rocket ships, bathtubs, and whatever else crosses their crazy little minds.
Oh, and here's a great thing for two-year-olds. Make a pathway through the house using *anything* and let them walk on it. My kids like to use pillows, couch cushions and blankets. Tell them their feet can't touch the floor, and that they can only step on the stuff they've put down as a path.
What else...? Let your child help you cook something. Kids LOVE to pour ingredients and stir things.

These should keep your kid busy for a little while...! : )

Yankees

I sat at the game Friday night in the rain...fortunately I remembered my rain poncho. So I was dry as Randy Johnson blew the first 4 innings. Arg.
