"The Biggest Loser" last night

Actually, this is not so much a comment about the show last night but about the preview for next week.

1. Did they actually insinuate that one of the guys has a heart attack?

2. I am not surprised AT ALL that they are changing the teams. They had to realize that the men vs. women thing was not going to work because those guys all have so much more weight to lose, and weight comes off faster for men than women in general. So if they let it go the way they were, the women would have been gone in three more weeks. It was also obviously very frustrating and de-motivating to the women.

3. I am annoyed that they place so much focus on working out and hardly anything on eating. I guess it's because the show is sponsored by 24-Hour Fitness. I was glad to see that one guy's weight not change due to his midnight eating habits; I think that told the story well.

I don't think they are changing the teams. Last season, when they got down to the Final 8, everybody competed against each other, no teams. And yes, there were too many gender factors that would make one group better than the other. Hello! Pre-menstrual bloating! I don't think one of the guys is going to have a heart attack, but maybe a relative?

Love that show....but....

I LOVE this show, but, they work out ALL the time!! Who in real life can do that? I wish I could take a few weeks off from work and get a personal trainer!!:) Wouldn't that be great?!?

I feel that Jillian and Bob should go back and forth between the teams and train them both. I think their style of work outs has a lot to do w/ why the men are winning more of the challenges. I"m also glad they showed the contestant that was sabotaging his diet w/ late night binges that was reality..

Sometimes I wonder if a Biggest Loser week is more than 7 days

Last season, the contestants made comments like "we've been at the ranch almost 10 weeks now and I really miss my kids" ... but there had only been 7 eliminations. Given the phenomenal weight losses these people are achieving long after the first 2 weeks, it made me wonder if they were doing 10-day "weeks" or something like that.

Also, have you looked at the NBC webpage for The Biggest Loser? It implies that they work out about 4 hours a day and the girls consume about 1200 calories and the guys 1600. No wonder that big fella was sneaking down for a midnight feast.

On a sidenote, I think the girls should have joined in the huddle to hide his tears from the camera -- the hell with teams, they're all in the same boat. But I guess with that attitude, I'd have been voted off like this week's girl for being too pal-sy with the 'competition'.
