Is this normal?

I usually go for a run in the mornings but didn't this morning due to not feeling well. I had my normal breakfast, but I find that if I don't exercise in the mornings, I'm more hungry. Why is this?

I don't know why this happens, but it happens to me too. Working out definitely curbs my appetite.

I do not have any substantiation for these claims....

It seems that when you physically work hard (even moderately hard), that your body diverts more resources to fueling your muscles and less towards digestion/hunger/thirst/etc.... I can easily work myself into exhaustion without a hint that I am hungry or thirsty. It may be mental, but I don't think that's entirely the case. Many of my friends who are big into sports note this phenomina too.

This definitely happens to me, too. I work out in the evenings, and I can eat almost nothing (200 or 300 calories) for dinner on nights when I make it to the gym for a hard cardio session. If I don't go, I'm way hungrier and eat way more.
