Quick ways to de-bloat?

So I'm going to a fancy party on friday where I'll hafta dress up and wear my tummy sucking in dress. I've been sticking to my diet which includes a lot of diet soda to save calories... I know that stuff tends to add bloat. How soon should I cut it out before the weekend? Also are there any particular foods that help get rid of bloat? thanks!

Kind of off the topic but have you ever tried Spanx? They are great for looking a few pounds thinner around the midsection.

Try to cut out salt and simple sugars and stick to the bland foods of boiled chicken, steamed veggies, fish and the like. Stick with things that taste sort of "montone".

If you haven't started yet, start now, and drink extra water. I think you typically need about 2 days, but 1.5 is definitely better than none!

I agree. Eliminate the salt. Completely. Poach some salmon (tastes wonderful) and steam some beautiful, crisp vegetables. You will look fabulous.

I wouldn't recommend doing this often but I was in a wedding this summer and had to fit into my tiny dress. I took water pills for about a week. But you have to be carefull and drink a ton of water when you take them otherwise your body will get dehydrated. Basically it just flushes all of the extra water weight out of you (even though you drink more than normal) it still works very well. It sounds odd but it works. Just drink alot of water and you will have to go to the bathroom like every 20 minutes. Good luck. Ohh, and skip the salt and soda.

don't have to stick to monotone...

eliminate salt, caffeine, and sugar. Eat "whole" foods (think produce and meat section, not pre-packaged) and drink unsweetened cranberry juice and water. The cranberry juice will really do it...average is 5 lbs a week.
