Anyone using DietPower Software?

I've just discovered some interesting diet software called DietPower.
It is $49.99 when downloaded from DietPower.com. Apparently, it will track almost any nutrient imaginable. If you enter the food you've eaten, it will tell you almost anything about your diet, including calories, protein, fat grams, levels of vitamins and minerals, cholesterol, and so on. I'm intrigued by the idea of knowing, for example, how much vitamin B6 I may be eating, but am a bit put off by the idea of entering everything I eat. Is anyone using this software? What do you think? Have you used it long-term? Thanks!

uhhh...do you work there? Sounds like this is a total ad and not the most apppropriate place for this.

No, I do not work there or have any connection to DietPower. After posting, I realized that including the price made my post look like an ad, but my request is genuine and has absolutely no commercial connection at all. I simply do not want to spend $49.99 if I am not going to use it. Thanks!

I've been using calorieking.com, and log everything online, it does pretty much the same thing, and you can really track everything you are eating including nutrients, etc. Also it's only 30 a year, and i found a coupon code (LEAP) and signed up for 20. Either way, whatever you decide to use, it is so helpful to know what you are putting into your body. It's not a pain to track everything since i do it for peertrainer, i'm used to it, and the tradeoff is worth it.

I don't have the patience for it. I tried doing this and was diligent for a few days and then just stopped entirely. Luckily, they only charged me for a set amount of time but I didn't get my moneys worth at all. Not that it's not a good product, I find I have too much to do to remember all the minutiae.

www.nutritiondata.com has a program that sounds just like this, and it's free. It takes a little getting used to (you enter all the foods you ate in a day into the "pantry", and then you can make daily menus that have everything that you ate - try the help section for more info, or you post your question here, and I'll try to answer them), but then it is very powerful. It also calculates things like the % of calories in your diet that come from fat, protein, and carbs, and how complete your protein for the day was, etc. It's not super personalized (like it's not going to say "based on the profile you entered at the beginning, you need to eat more protein because you're working out a lot"), so you have to have some knowledge of what your goals and plans are. But if you have an idea of what you want to be eating, it's great.

Also, I agree with the poster that said it's easy and not overwhelming to enter every little thing - you're already doing it on peertrainer. For me, I eat basically the same set of food every week. I mean, not exactly, but there are a bunch of foods that I eat all the time. So now that I've entered those foods into my "pantry", it is very easy to just pick out the day's quantity and see how I did.

Oh wow, the nutritiondata.com "pantry" looks great, especially because it is free. I'm especially interested in the "Fullness Factor" rating mentioned on the page linked below. Have you had any experience using the Fullness Factor? Does it help you avoid hunger?
Thanks so much to everyone for your thoughtful ideas!
