FOOD SCALES

Anyone hear of a decent food scale that doesn't cost a bundle?
Also, what kind of measuring cup (dry or liquid) do you use when measuring Cheerios? It's silly, but I'm totally baffled by that.

a long time ago I got one at weight watchers for about 10-12 dollars. It's a great scale too.

How much is a Bundle?

I've had two "cheap" kitchen scales. The first one was relatively inaccurate & hard to use...and then broke. The second one (I thought) was a "good" one...I spent somewhere between $45 and $60. It used batteries and had a "Tare" feature that made it really nice to use. It broke too.

The scale I have now is an Edlund DS-10. I spent about what I spent on my ipod for it...and consider it money well spent. It plugs into the wall, also has a tare feature, is completely consistent and is a joy to use. WIll measure either ounces or grams.

I consider the $ spent on kitchen scales before the Edlund, to have been wasted. In my view, that's the "bundle". The money spent on the scale I have now was well spent.

Good luck w/ your search! (And definitely dry measure for the Cheerios.
