How good it really is? Mine is 35 and I am obese as per the scale. Granted.
But it took me 22 lbs to come down a mere 0.2 on my BMI. I am dejected to see the small change.. How will I ever touch below 30???

I would suggest going on a structured diet. and include a structured fitness program. Are you currently following one?

Yeah I am. I am dieting well and I can see the inches go.
I am concerned about this index though. It might take me ages to get past 30!

Keep in mind...

that BMI does not account for lean muscle that you've gained, and fat lost. Eventually you may see that you are indeed under 30 on the BMI (mine is at 30.2 now), but it can be misleading. For example, athletes have lots of muscle, and if you just compare their height and weight with the BMI, they are acutely obese. But this of course is wrong. So just look at it as another tool. Inch measurement and weight are what I stick to as a rule. I'll occassionally check my BMI just to see.
And congratulations on your continued success! It sounds like you're doing great!

How about looking at the spotlight profile of loribcme. She's in the 3rd group down. She's had quite a bit of success and maybe by reading her logs, you could get the motivation you need.

Hey, it's Loricbme here. I have no idea who suggested reading my logs but thanks! It is very flattering and humbling to know that someone is reading my logs and getting some good out of them.

I think weight is not the real indicator of one's healthy status. And BMI is effectively an index based on weight.
You need to take into account your fat ratio, your bone density and other stuff into account. See a doctor. And if you think BMI is making you feel negative, chuck it out of the window
