How long do you think it would take to lose 20 pounds with little or no excercise? Just low calorie low fat diet?

If you have "only" 20 lbs to lose and it's not the first 20 of, like, 50+ you need to lose and your medical situation and metabolism are fairly normal, a fair guess would be
Man: 2-3 months
Woman: 5-6 months (a month less if you walk 20 mins a day every day)

Isn't a pound a week considered fairly safe? Any more than that and you are at a greater risk of gaining it back quickly.

I agree with the previous poster - your best bet is to do a google search for an online calculator that will do the math and break it all down for you.
Now - it is best to lose at a slow rate - somewhere between 1 to 1.5% of your total body weight a week.
