New Features for your Public Logs

We have added new features to the Public Logs. When you click "Publish My Log" you'll now see a "preferences" tab. This tab allows you to customize the title of your log, add a description, add links, and upload a photo of yourself. If you commonly visit other public logs or websites and want to share them with others, you can link to them now on your log.

To see the public logs see this thread to get the most current list of users with public logs...

http://www.peertrainer.com/LoungeCommunityThread.aspx?ForumID=1&ThreadID=8200

To see your own - go into "update log" then click on the link on the right that has your public log.

When I try to view my public log from Update Log, it says ' We're sorry, but the page or file you are looking for cannot be loaded. We apologize for any inconvenience. Please try again later.'

Is there some verification process done by PEERtrainer before the blogs are destined for public viewing? If so how long will that take? How are the blogs list sorted? Latest entries or as per publication? TIA.

No. All you have to do is go to publish my log in the left nav and pick the radio button that says "public. Then you can customize by going to preferences. If by some chance this doesn't work, please email us at customercare@peertrainer.com. But first, go to my log, then go to the left nav that says publish my log. Click that and make your log public (it's a radio button that is automatically defaulted to private. When you hit public, it will refresh and then your log is viewable at www.peertrainer.com/username (whatever this is).log

So you can only customize your log layout if you make it public? That's too bad. It would nice to be able to do that and stil keep it private.

We're working on that too.

Any chance you could alphabetize the logs list? Kind of hard to find people because the list is random...

Also, have you considered having peoples screen names show up when they make their posts? It would be helpful if we knew if we were talking to one or many people (right now, we have to type our name onto our posts or it's entirely anonymous....) Maybe you could make a feature that could allow people to post with or without their screen names as well? (where we could make the decision ourselves?)

We had a long thread about this. People chose to remain anonymous and put their username if they wanted to...

The alphabetical log list is a good suggestion. Thanks.

Thanks Rachel, my problems got solved pronto.

Apart from sorting the list alphabetically, you might want to consider blogs sorted by latest entries in their logs, just a suggestion.

I second sorting the logs by activity! So many of them that I click on have been inactive since November! I get frustrated halfway thru the list and give up. Feel bad for the poor souls at the bottom if they're active posters and no one ever clicks on them because they're at the bottom.
