Description:
There are 35 calories in a cup of chopped and cooked kale. Kale is considered to be of the most nutrient dense foods. This simply means you get the most bang for your healthy eating buck.
Kale can be a tough vegetable to eat on its own, but there are some excellent ways to make it tasty. Blending a couple cups of kale into a black bean soup is one excellent way.
Research has shown that Kale consumption is linked to so many improvements in your health and energy that you could write a book on it.
Kale has been linked to improved mental function as you age and is a very good source of calcium.
Kale is great for people with diabetes, helps reduce the risk of colon cancer, provides you with very high levels of manganese (a powerful antioxidant), provides protection against Arthritis, boosts the immune system, promotes lung health.
Of course, Kale will help you lose weight as well. There is a very good reason that we incentivize the eating of Kale and other greens in the PEERtrainer Cheat System. If you eat plenty of greens, it will make it easier for you to lose weight, and also allow you to eat other foods that you want to indulge in.
We have worked to present a "balanced diet" that truly helps keep you in balance, but does it in a way that doesn't drive you nuts.
