Pumpkin is low in calories, very low in sugar and extremely high in Vitamin A.
Like most vegetables and fruits, Pumpkin
is extremely in a large array of important vitamins and minerals. Simply put, the more fruits and vegetables you eat, the better your health will be.
It is funny because most of us know this, but for whatever reason this is an abstract concept. It can be hard to quantify, and hard to see an immediate result.
But, if you are around people who are sick a lot, whose kids constantly have runny noses- the odds are really high that these people are simply not eating enough fruits and vegetables.
What Does Pumpkin Have To Do With This??
Pumpkin is VERY high in Vitamin A, which is one of the most powerful nutrients in helping to boost the immune system.
A Tasty, Easy Way To Get A HUGE Dose Of Vitamin A Via Pumpkin:
3 Minute Microwave Pumpkin "Pie"!!
Take 1 can of pumpkin, open it up and put it in a microwave safe bowl. Add 1 tablespoon of coconut oil (or butter if you don't have this). Throw in a little sugar, maybe molasses, nutmeg, ginger and cinnamon. Add a touch of salt.
Throw in the microwave for 3 minutes. Remove, stir and cool. Add or adjust the flavors as you like.
Enjoy.. this is a tasty way to get a huge dose of Vitamin A. Spinach and Kale also have huge amounts of Vitamin A. But they are not as tasty!!
